Lean, green, floor-cleaning machine

Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC) is a 136-year-old manufacturer of giant street sweepers and floor scrubbers based in Golden Valley, Minnesota, and holds a 10% share of a $5 billion floor and street cleaning industry. As part of an aggressive new campaign to gain a greater market share, Tennant has announced a highly energy-efficient sweeper that uses 70% less water, less noise, and fewer emissions. Tennant does business around the globe, and expects their machines to do particularly well in countries with scarce water supplies.

With the industrial green movement finally arriving in the Midwest, companies will want to rethink their marketing strategies in order to remain competitive and distinct in an increasingly efficient and energy-minded world.
