U.S. putting $34.5 million into clean energy

The announcement was made at the October 11th conference "Advancing Renewable Energy: An American Rural Renaissance." Biofuels, solar, and biomass energy will benefit most from the investment. The announcement is part of President Bush's Advanced Energy Initiative (gee, he decides to do something NOW?). Partnerships between universities, national laboratories, government research agencies and the private sector aim to develop the next generation of clean energy technologies.
