New report: Emissions cuts good for environment and economy

A report by Greenpeace USA and the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) maps out how to cut U.S. CO2 emissions by nearly 75% in the next 43 years, and why it's not only good for the environment, but good for the economy too.

"Energy Revolution: A Blueprint for Solving Global Warming," explains that cutting emissions this deeply can be accomplished with energy efficiency and increasing the use of renewable fuels and electricity. There's no need to turn to nuclear power, it claims, and we can nearly end our reliance on dirty coal. In addition, the nation's oil use can be cut by more than 50% using more efficient vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and biofuels.
