A survey by Houston-based Promark Research and FPL Energy shows that 93% of Texans want more wind power development in their state, and 90% believe that wind should be a part of the state's energy mix.Statewide, Texans also showed a high level of awareness on other energy issues, with about 7 out of 10 agreeing that global warming is a problem and more than half of respondents said power plant emissions are a problem.
Texas is #1 in the nation for wind power, and no wonder: residents believe wind power is the best way to meet their electricity needs.
The survey was conducted in mid-January and included 809 voters.
