Energy news quick clicks

  • This headline from the Business Journal is very misleading. "Study blows away belief wind can be main power source" is not what it seems. A study done by the Northwest Power and Conservation Council and Bonneville Power Administration found that wind power can meet up to 6,000 MW of of the region's need, but cannot meet all of the electric needs for the Northwestern U.S. I don't think logical supporters of renewable energy are saying that, anyway. We don't have a silver bullet of energy solutions, but silver BBs, including wind power, efficiency, solar, hydro, etc.

Hello Maria,

My name is Shane, I run TheSietch.org (I know strange name for a website) and The Sietch blog (www.blog.thesietch.org) and have been consistently impressed by your writing (a lot of your stories are on hugg, and show up in my google news alerts) I was hoping you could contact me (thenaib @ the name of my website .org) to talk about guest author possibilities on my site (or me on yours). If you are not interested simply take this as a compliment on your fine work.

Thanks in advance
Shane
