Terminology Tuesday: Solar Thermal Collector

A solar thermal collector absorbs sunlight to provide heat. There are different types of collectors, like solar parabolic, solar trough, and solar towers. The collectors generally use solar heat to produce electricity by heating water to make steam, which then drives a turbine connected to a generator.
