Minnesota Caucus Night #1

Big turnout for Republicans in Minnesota, as well as Democrats. Some of the local pundits are lamenting the fact that we even have a caucus, rather than a primary. So instead of everyone having to rush to the polls, create traffic jams, and walk 6 blocks to vote in the 60-minute time frame, we should just do a straight-up primary that allows people to vote throughout the day.

Apparently Republican and DFL leaders supported this change last year but it didn't go anywhere in the legislature.
