Mike Ciresi (trial lawyer) just bowed out of the Minnesota race for U.S. Senate, so that leaves Al Franken (satirist) and Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer (professor) to duke it out for the DFL nomination.
Liberal in the Land of Conservative has a good analysis of the candidates' environmental positions. Nelson-Pallmeyer gives more specifics as far as combating global warming, while Franken is more general about renewable energy and energy independence. I also found the latter to be true when I interviewed Franken about his energy ideas last summer.
