The U.S. House of Representatives passed an energy tax bill 236-182 that included a three-year extension for the production tax credit (PTC) and an investment tax credit for small wind turbines.
The bill faces the Senate next, where it faces some controversy. Some provisions in the bill pay for the renewable tax crdits by removing some current tax incentives for oil and gas companies. The Senate hasn't been able to secure the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster. via Wind Energy Weekly
