Last week Spain set a world record by getting 40 percent of its energy from wind power (11,180 megawatts, thanks to strong and sustained winds). The U.S. leads in the world in the amount of megawatts of wind power produced, yet we only get a measly 1 percent of our energy from it. Germany takes second place, with Spain in third.

Its awesome that we produce the most energy from wind but we still need significant growth in the wind energy field.
