A company called Mecaro created this Spiral Magnus wind turbine:
Chicago's own Aerotecure International created this turbine style, which has been installed on buildings in the Chicago area, as well as in California, New Jersey and New York.

Hi ad,
it's been quite a process gettin things this far with still further to go, but things are look'n up. The version your looking at is called "littlehawk" and is four ft. wide and 6 ft. long and is designed for a small trailer or R V , thanks for the kind words, they are greatly appreciated. Dan'l
Wind power is not a solution. The whole truth about wind turbines is never told by lobbyists and governments.
How could the very weak and extremely unreliable initial energy source of a wind turbine ever produce a steady power of any significance?
Please think!
And read: “Wind energy- the whole truth” at: Wind energy- the whole truth.
And for green jobs creation in relation to renewable energy read:
Study of the effects on employment of public aid to renewable energy sources.
Alexander - It's not whether wind power WILL produce a steady source of energy. It already IS. Iowa, for example, is getting 15% of its electricity from wind and that number is growing there and across the U.S. Wind power is here to stay.
Wind turbines make sense if they are sufficiently cheap. Someday, low-cost wind turbines will be called "whirlygigs", and nearly every house will use them.
windpower is good but you should also try to build your own solar panel, you will save some money and it is very simple to build it with a good method.
Mine is really working well.http://www.squidoo.com/dontbuysolarpanels
